PAC & Legislative Updates

PAC stands for Political Action Committee and is a tool used to lobby congress.

When you donate to FLRLCA PAC, your contributions are mailed to the NRLCA PAC. All the PAC monies/donations collected from across the country is then pooled together, in a joint effort to lobby congress on important issues and legislation that directly affect rural carriers and the future success of the postal service.

Other companies, including our competitors, also lobby congress. Many times, they are lobbying about the same issues but from a completely different perspective. Without proper funding, they wouldn’t receive proper education on the issues from our perspective. This is why your PAC contributions are vital for lobbying congress on postal service issues. None of your union dues are used for this task. Only PAC donations can maintain our representation in congress.

Each year our FLRLCA President, Vice President, and PAC Co-Chair visit Washington D.C. during the annual legislative seminar to attend training and to meet with Florida's Congressional Representatives. These one on one meetings are crucial to be sure our members voices are heard on the hill and to gain their support for our legislation. These meetings are possible because of our donations to PAC.

Every time you donate to PAC you are helping your future as a rural carrier and the success of the postal service.

There are many different ways you can contribute to PAC:
